The Route to Investment
Our comprehensive evaluation process is geared toward screening and identifying promising and unique initiatives in a short period of time.
Stage 1: Preliminary Evaluation
Upon receipt of a project proposal (usually an executive summary in Hebrew or English, PowerPoint presentation, and the entrepreneurs' CV), Mofet looks at its compliance with our investment strategy and expresses preliminary interest. If required, Mofet's management meets with the entrepreneur to better understand the venture and its technological and commercial value.
Stage 2: Comprehensive Evaluation & In-Depth Due Diligence
Mofet performs complete due diligence on all technological, business, market, and intellectual property aspects of the new venture. The availability and cooperation of the entrepreneur is essential for completing an efficient, quick process. At this stage, Mofet and the entrepreneur sign a term sheet that describes the parties' commitments.
Stage 3: Investment Committee
The entrepreneur presents the project to the Mofet Investment Committee, which makes its decision with input from Mofet's management.
Stage 4: Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) Approval Process
Mofet works together with the entrepreneur to submit the venture to the OCS. The project is reviewed by an OCS examiner. The process concludes with the decision of the OCS committee.
Stage 5: Launch!
Upon receiving OCS approval, Mofet and the entrepreneur sign a Founders' Agreement. The new venture starts its operation within the Mofet B'Yehuda Venture Accelerator.
