Meishav – Sabbatical
Year in Israel for Entrepreneurial Scientists
Meishav is a unique program designed to encourage joint
research and development of new technologies between Jewish
scientists around the world and their Israeli peers. The program
is designed for scientists on their sabbatical year who would
like to develop a new technology with commercial potential.
Run in conjunction with Bar Ilan University and the Jewish
Agency for Israel, Meishav offers scientists the financial
investment and R&D facilities to develop a prototype for their
new technology and to actualize their research into a successful
high-tech start-up company.

Partnership with the Jerusalem College of Technology (JCT)
In 2004 the Mofet B'Yehuda Innovation Accelerator entered
into a strategic partnership with the Jerusalem College of
Technology. This mutually beneficial partnership encourages the
College's faculty and graduate students to commercialize their
R&D projects within the framework of Mofet B'Yehuda, thus
bringing new companies and entrepreneurs with tremendous
potential to the Accelerator.
The Jerusalem College of Technology (JCT), founded in 1969,
has grown into one of Israel’s major academic institutions of
higher education that specializes in high-tech engineering,
industrial management and life and health sciences. As one of
Israel’s main accredited engineering schools recognized by
Israel’s Council of Higher Education, JCT graduates comprise
many of Israel’s high tech engineers and most of its
electro-optic engineers.
